Free early education
The pre-school is registered to receive Free Early Education Entitlement for 2, 3 & 4-year olds. Eligible children can receive, up to 30 hours a week free early education from the funding period following their second (if they qualify) or third birthday. For those children whose sessions are affected by Bank holidays, please note alternative sessions will be offered.
Funding periods run from:
- 1 September to 31 December
- 1 January to 31 March
- 1 April to 31 August
Parents are free to use their funding at any registered setting, and may choose to use their child’s entitlement between settings. For example, parents may choose to use their child’s 15/30 hour funding entitlement between a childminder and a pre-school setting.
Children in receipt of the Free Early Education entitlement are entitled to a maximum of 30 hours of funded pre-school education per week for 38 weeks a year. We offer the Free Early Education in 3-hour blocks, Monday to Friday 9am – 12 noon & 12 noon – 3pm. Any additional non-funded sessions can be paid for by cash, cheque or Bacs. We also accept childcare vouchers available through your employer, or educational establishment.
